This project shows off easy communication between the RPi and RPiSoC.  Tweets that match user defined hashtags are pulled in from Twitter. The Rpi handles internet connectivity to Twitter through python scripts, while the RPiSoC drives the LCD screen. The project could easily be expanded to do other tasks on the RPiSoC using a new Tweet as a trigger. You can see it in action on youtube.

The screen takes advantage of our brand new TFTSHIELD PSoC Creator component, which was developed for the Adafruit Touch Shield v2. Source code and user guides will be posted soon.
