Our new kit is finally here! With it, you’ll be able to control electronics with Scratch right in your web browser, no programming experience needed! Use fruit as touch inputs, control LEDs, read light and sound sensors, and more using our Scratch blocks. This physical computing kit is recommended for anyone age 7 and up (there are small parts) who wants to learn how to program or control electronics.
This is the evolution of our previous Inventor’s kit and Scratch support. With everything we learned from our elementary school Scratch workshops we were able to put together a far easier to use electronics Scratch kit. It includes: Adafruit Circuit Playground (with on board touch, light, accelerometer, temperature, and sound sensors, as well as push button and slide switch inputs), 40 Neopixel RGB LED matrix, 10 alligator clip wires, and a micro USB cable. There will also be full Arduino and Python Firmata support coming soon, allowing you to program your Circuit Playground with the tools of your choice. You’ll need a Windows or Chromebook computer to use this kit, with Mac OSX support coming soon.
